About Us
Family is what it's ALL about!
Pictured is our 3 grandchildren playing with the Neo puppies, one of which is almost as big as Logan and topples him over trying to give him kisses! They love to get the puppies out and play with them when they are here...and they are here a lot! The Cavalier puppy that is pictured on our Homepage (now named Henry who resides in Florida) was one of my grandson's (Logan) favorite! He was very sad to see him go, so I took him with me to the airport when Henry left and he held him the whole way there. I reasured him that Henry was going to a VERY good home and he needn't worry. A BIG THANK YOU goes out to Jill (Henry's new owner) for her help in resuring Logan as well! My Grandaughter (Bailey) loves to push the puppies around in the puppy stroller...that is when she doesn't have one or sometimes two of them carrying in her arms! The first thing I hear when they come is " Grandma when can we get the puppies out and play with them!" Dalton our oldest grandson well...he just loves them all! All three of them are a BIG help when they are here. They really do enjoy helping with the puppies and they know EXACTLY what to do and HOW to do it! Their two favorites are helping with the pictures and watching the puppies drink their milk! They certainly do a fine job acting silly and goofy to get the puppy's attention so I can take the pics! When it comes to the puppies drinking their milk...the grandkids just can't get over how they stand there and lick their lips waiting for their milk and when they it, it's gone it seconds!
I personally deliver each and everyone of our puppies. It is absolutley amazing to birth these precious little puppies into the world! I get a great personal satisfaction out of it! I can tell you most anything you would like to know about our puppies straight from birth. Yes, there has been MANY long nights, but the mothers depend and have come to expect me to be there to help them through this time. I take as much of the work off of the mothers I can, so they do not tire out so quickly. I have delivered by forceps many times, breech puppies, and also had to go in and turn the puppies so they can come down the birth canal correctly AND breathed life back into them. You have no idea how much my puppies mean to me, especially by bringing each & everyone of them into this world and sometimes saving their life.
We were blessed with 3 GREAT kids, 2 daughters, Shannon & Lacey and 1 son Adam. We are extremely proud of them and their accomplishments and most of all they are always there when we need them. My father also lives with us, I've been caring for him for almost 2 years now. He loves to play with the puppies and meet the people that come here for there new puppy. He just thinks it's absolutely amazing that my puppies are all over the states. He tells me all the time how proud he is of me and that I work to hard. But I love what I do and the puppies are a great comfort to me when I'm down. I find myself staying up late at night with them in the nursery just playing with them (even if I'm not delivering puppies), it's a great stress reliever.
We currently have three grandchildren, 2 grandsons Dalton & Logan, 1 granddaughter Bailey. We also have 4 granddoggers! Jersey (Boxer), Whicket (Shih-Tzu), Beshu (Shih-Tzu) & Roxie (Boxer).
Pedigree Pets was born out of our love for a pair of Siberian Huskys (Malicah and Starr) and has grown into a passion for all breeds. I research each and every breed before we bring it into Pedigree and we do not breed or raise any vicious dogs here. We do not buy other peoples litters for resale or sell to Pet Stores, Brokers or Puppy Mills and I have NEVER thought twice about turning people down on my puppies and I have done so on several occassions. It is our responsibility to make sure that each and EVERY puppy goes into a loving and caring home.
All puppies are born right here at Pedigree Pets with both parents on site. We start breeding our females at 18 months to 2 years of age. We start planning our breeding programs 2 years in advance. All of our dogs and puppies are in a SMOKE FREE enviornment. We are AKC inspected and for those of you who are not famililar with AKC inspected kennels, Ill tell you a little about it. It is a very extensive inspection from the American Kennel Club. We have an inspector come here from the American Kennel Club (with no prior notice), he inspects our dogs, puppies, living conditions, exercise areas, even the food and water containers plus the paperwork and everything MUST pass inspection and we always receive a perfect score. I ask my inspector what his definition of a puppy mill was and he said to me "Rhonda, you would be amazed at what I've seen, you can have just 4 or 5 dogs and be a puppy mill it all depends on HOW the dogs and puppies are cared for, not the amount of dogs you have".Please keep this in mind when you are searching for your new puppy. And PLEASE be very aware of scammers, they are evrywhere! If you have any questions about purchasing a puppy over the Internet, even from another breeder, I would be happy to advise you on what to look out for and questions to ask. I have helped many people out several times before.
Our facilities here are very nice, we have several delivery rooms for the mommies that are individually heated, sound proofed, vented, with artifial and natural lighting. Each room is on a visual and audial monitor. Their whelping beds are also heated. We also have a nursery here at Pedigree Pets. Our facilities also include a washer/dryer, dishwasher, refrigerater, Microwave and grooming station. Everyone has clean blankets, toys, water bottles, and treats daily. They have heat in the winter and AC in the summer, they have a really big play areas to run in daily. The puppies are socialized and play with different breeds, same size, same & oppisite sex depending on ages of course. They are also very well versed in several kinds of music, along with news and even ballgames!! We're all about the Cultured Canine!
Now for the BIG DOG kennels. We have 4 seperate runs, which have 10'x12' kennels with concrete foundation, electric, water and sunblocks in the summer. All have huge exercise areas for the dogs to run daily. The kennels get cleaned and hosed on a daily basis and sanitized weekly.
The puppies de-worming program starts at two weeks of age. The puppies are seperated from mom at 6 weeks of age, at that time they receive their 1st set of shots and are given their Kennel Cough vaccine. They are also started on a skin & coat supplement (Theracoat) that is also good for all major internal organs and helps reduce any shedding issues, liquid vitamins, medicated water that is filled with electrolytes and nutrients. They are also given puppy milk (powdered) once a day with a little of Karo corn syrup (white) in it. They LOVE it!! They actually lips their lips waiting with such anticipation! It's gone in a matter of minutes sometimes seconds! The T-Cups tiny & small breed puppies eat Eukanuba Small Breed Puppy (dry) along with Iams puppy (wet). As the small breeds get bigger and are able to handle the larger kibble, I switch them over to the Iams Smart Breed Puppy (dry). The medium breeds here eat the Iams Smart Breed Puppy (dry). The Large Breed puppies eat the Iams Large Breed Smart Breed Puppy (dry).
All puppies will leave here current on shots, have their Kennel Cough vaccine and current on their de-worming program. All puppies come with a written health guarantee. The liquid vitamins and the Theracoat that the puppies are already on can be purchased here in the Boutique, so you can continue their healthy growth and developement. We also provide you with a 7-Day Potty Training schedule that really works! Your new puppy will be VERY well accustomed with his/her grooming process before joing their new family. Most of the puppies are ready for their families at 8 weeks of age with the exception of the T-Cups, I don't allow them to leave until they are at least 12 weeks of age maybe longer, depending on size.
Meeting People For Delivery:We do not meet people for delivery for our puppies. All puppies unless being shipped are to be picked up here at Pedigree Pets. We welcome all visitors!
Shipping By Air: The puppies fly via Commercial Airlines: Northwest/Delta or Continental Airlines. The shipping is available at an additional cost. The shipping is $300.00 (standard shipping) for a small puppy. I do not charge anything for my time or travel. This does include airfare, new crate, health certificate, insurance on the puppy and the flight, food dish & water bottle, toys to keep the puppy occupied during the flight and a sweater if needed. If VIP/Dash shipping is needed or preferred that is an additional $100.00. The shipping on the larger breeds may be more depending on size and weight of the puppy. For the larger breeds I will call the airline and get a shipping quote. I also call the airline to verify the shipping status (on all puppies) to the airport of your choice. This is to verify that the puppy can fly standard shipping or whether VIP/DASH shipping is needed. You will then be notified of the shipping status and no flights will be booked without your prior approval. Puppies can be shipped to you Monday - Friday and flights can be booked up to 10 days in advance. I do require 24-48 hours in preparing the puppy for his/her flight. This does include, booking the flight, getting his/her health certificate (Vet appt.) and grooming your new puppy. When the puppy leaves my hands at the airport he/she is clean and in a clean crate, most of the puppies arrive in the same condition, but they do sometimes have accidents in their crate during the flight. I do apologgize in advance if this does occur. I do recommend that you bring some paper towels, baby wipes and a bag to dispose of the waste should the puppy have an accident during his flight and you would need to clean his/her crate.
Shipping into Canada: I can ship (via air) into Montreal & Toronto for the standard shipping price of 300.00.
Ground Shipping: Ground shipping is now available on the East Coast through Puppy Express Delivery (at buyers expense) on any of our puppies large or small. The rates for ground transport through Puppy Express Delivery start at 200.00 and cash on deliverly is required. Due to the rising gas prices his rates may go up.
1.) If the puppy is being shipped to Florida, I need to contact Clint to see if he has other puppies going that way first.
2.) I would need an additional 30.00 for Health Certificate.
3.) If the puppy is 12 weeks older I would need an additional 30.00 for Rabies Vaccination.
I have searched for a long time to find someone that would transport my puppies by ground with the same love and care that they are accustomed to here. Then I was fortunate enough to find Clint Little...I was impressed and it takes a lot to impress me! I know that when my puppy goes from my hands to his, that I don't need to worry a bit and neither will you. But...unfortunately he only travels the east coast, so now I need to find a ground transport for the west coast, so...my search continues.
Ground shipping is avaulable for the West Coast through Uship (at buyers expense)Please call for estimate on ground shipping.
NOTE: I will need your zipcode to get an estimate through Uship. Please understand that this is an estimate only. I will provide you with the necessary information and a picture for the post on U-Ship.com.
PLEASE NOTE: I am currently looking for a West Coast ground transport company.

We will absolutely NO LONGER hold ANY puppy without a deposit. PERIOD! If you do not want to place a deposit on the puppy you will then take your chances that it will be available when you are ready. I will no longer be marking PENDING on any puppy unless the deposit is on it's way. IF extra charges we have inquired per YOUR request like rabies Vac & Health certificate etc. and you still DO NOT take the puppy you will be responsible for the extra charges. PERIOD! I truly have tried my very best to be honest, work with people and accommadate them the best I can, BUT it's not working out for the puppies and they are my MAIN concern. The way I see it if you stiff the breeder on extra charges that YOU requested, then you will not make a good pet owner. I really hate being blunt like this, but it's the only way I can get my point accross.
Pet Prices: Pet prices are sometimes available on our high Champion Pedigree purebred puppies. I really dont like to do this, because I don't feel it's right to tell people what they can or cannot do with their puppy. But, with the economy the way is I feel that it is a fair option to offer, especially if they have no plans to show or breed and just want a quality pet. The Pet Prices are offered on a spay/neuter basis. If you want to show your puppy/dog in show events for nuerter or spayed dogs, I will give you full registration to so, but only after the nuetering/spaying is done. Please let me know this in advance. All registration papers and pedigree's will be with-held until we receive a medical statement from your vet showing that the spay/neutering has be done. You may send it by mail, e-mail or fax it to 937-710-9333. If you are faxing please let me know when so I can turn the answering machine off, then it will automatically pick it up.
Quarantine Countries: I'm sorry, but we do not ship to countries that have quarantine policies for canines entering their country. We do not think it's fair to put our puppies through this and want them to go directly & immediately to their new families.
Stud Services: Stud services are available to approved females in our local area only. Shipping is NOT available on our studs.
Policy For Holding Puppies: If the puppy is 8 weeks of age or 12 weeks for T-Cups and over; I will hold the puppy for you for one week while travel arrangements are made free of charge, unless the delay is due to weather tempts according with the airlines guidlines or waiting for Clint's next trip. But, after that we will need to charge a small boarding fee per week of 20.00-25.00 depending on the breed size (most boarding facilities charge 12.00-15.00 per day). Please understand that we still need to continue the shots, wormings, vitamins, Theracoat and of course their food until they join their new family. The small fee only covers our cost, I do not make any profit from this. We cannot hold any puppy without a deposit. I have done this in the past and it did not work out for the puppy. I will just leave it at that.
I do apologize for having to put this policy into effect, but I have had so many customers asking me to hold the puppies for them for long periods of time and I can't possibly do this without charging the fee to cover my cost.
Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.
Pedigree Pets
Not Responsible For: I really never thought for a second that I would have to explain this, but evidently I do.
We ARE NOT responsible for your overlimit fees on your charge or debit cards, that is totally your responsibility to make sure you have the available funds. And we ARE NOT responsible for your female pet bought from us at the age of 6 months or older for going into her heat cycle. That also is your responsibility to monitor your female pet and take the appropriate precautions against your female from becoming preganat before 18 months of age.
