Temperament: With family and friends, the Boxer is fundamentally playful, yet patient and stoical with children. Deliberate and wary with strangers, he will exhibit curiosity, but, most importantly, fearless courage if threatened. However, he responds promptly to friendly overtures honestly rendered. His intelligence, loyal affection, and tractability to discipline make him a highly desirable companion.

Akilies Della Vecchia Roma with other well known lines as Ironstone, Del Gheno and Fruit D'Amour. Our new Sire is Samson he is a massive Blue male, his Great Grandfather is Blanch-O'S Zues. Brocks grandfather was the first Grand Champion Bulldog and was on the cover of the American Bulldog Chronical of the June 2000 issue.

History: The Olde Boston Bulldogge is the original Boston Bulldog. This breed is of the original type and form. This breed was once known as the round-headed Bull and Terrier of the Boston area. The Olde Boston Bulldogge is the breed from which the Boston Terrier was developed, therefore history of the Olde Boston Bulldogge is close to the same as the Boston Terrier. Much of the credit for preserving and re-establishing this rare breed should be given to the late Mr. Neil Rutan and his Son Nathaniel. They have worked hard to preserve what is the Olde Boston Bulldogge. There are many Great Kennels who are dedicated like the Rutans and have some wonderful Stock also. The Boston Bulldogge has seen a recent surge with the rise of the internet and Today you can find many breeders with quality Olde Boston Bulldogge's General Description: The perfect Olde Boston Bulldogge should be of small to medium height and size (not toy sized) with a round compact head and a solid, muscular and athletic body. The disposition should be outgoing, loyal, lively and intelligent. Temperament: The Olde Boston Bulldogge is to be very stable and trustworthy. Olde Boston Bulldogge’s are a healthy working dog without serious health problems. Unlike their Boston Terrier cousins males should be free breeders and females should be free whelpers. The Olde Boston Bulldogge should be devoid of all breathing problems. Most importantly the Olde Boston Bulldogge is still a working Bulldog and as the Bulldogges of Olde, function should come before form. Size: 28-42 pounds. Today's Uses: The Rutan family still uses their Olde Boston's hunting small game, Rats, Coon, Opossum even wild Hog. It's also where they run & play in the trees and find any puddle to play in. :) This is also where they are socialized with all the other breeds & sexes (according to size & age). Not everyone has the same type of breed at home and this type of socialization is very helpful to the new families and their new puppy.

Alapaha Blue Blood Bull Dog Country of Origin: The Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog (also known as the ‘ABBB’ or ‘Otto’) is a highly rare breed descended from the English Bulldog. Only a few hundred Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldogs live worldwide. The Lane family of Rebecca, Georgia sought to recover the old ‘plantation dog’ from the Alapaha region of Southern Georgia. These plantation dogs originally guarded slaves, but later hunted hogs and cattle and protected their masters’ property. They were known for their large size, loyalty, and high level of obedience. The Lane’s program started in the early 1800’s with a dog named Otto, but lasted for three generations over 100 years. In 1986, Lana Lou Lane instituted the Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog Association, which has registered several hundred dogs, but the breed is still considered at high risk of extinction. Size: Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldogs have a shoulder height of 50-66 cm (22-26 in) and weigh 22-40 kg (50-90 lbs). Males are much larger than females. They have a natural bulldog appearance with a broad head, uncropped drop ears, and wide set eyes. Blue (‘glass’) or brown/blue (‘marble’) eyes are preferred. The Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog has a muscular body with a narrow chest, wide hips, short, undocked tail, flat back, and small, round ‘cat feet’. Coat: The Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog has a short, stiff outer coat and soft undercoat. The Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog comes in a wide variety of colors, including several shades of red, grey, fawn, brown, black, brindle, and mahogany, always with white or brown and white markings. The Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog is an average shedder. Character: The Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog is an excellent companion. It is powerful, proud, dutiful, and highly obedient, making an excellent guard or watch dog. It has a calm, friendly disposition. Temperament: The Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog is aloof with strangers, but will relax once it detects its master’s approval. Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldogs are alert, athletic, and agile. They are said to be utterly devoid of aggression until their master or territory is threatened, then they will fight to the death. The ‘Blue Blood’ in its name indicates the royal character this breed is perceived to have by its supporters. Care: The Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog requires little grooming. Bathe twice a month and occasionally comb and brush its coat to remove dead hairs. The Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog enjoys the outdoors, but requires shade in the summer and shelter from cold winds and weather in the winter.
